Project Citizen Workshop
8:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. - Project Citizen motivates and trains young people in the methods and procedures used in our political process. As a class project or youth group activity, students work together to identify and study a problem or issue in their community. They research the problem, propose a solution, and develop an action plan for solving the problem. Students prepare a portfolio of their work and present it to a panel of community members. They also have the opportunity to enter their portfolio in a State Hearing Showcase held at the State Capitol on May 1, 2010. This free workshop for upper elementary, middle school, and high school teachers, and youth group leaders is sponsored by Project Citizen Wisconsin and the State Bar of Wisconsin.

ECB provides educators with resources and professional development to effectively teach financial literacy. Professional Standards Council Meeting
The Professional Standards Council was created to assist the State Superintendent in improving teacher preparation, licensure and regulation. Creation of the council was originally recommended by a Special Committee on Teacher Preparation, Licensure and Regulation. Authority for the Council was provided in 1997 Wisconsin Act 298. Initial council members were appointed and confirmed in 1999.
The Professional Standards Council contributed to the language of PI 34 and is currently active in recommending and developing strategies for information dissemination regarding PI 34 implementation.

Professional Standards Council Meeting
The Professional Standards Council was created to assist the State Superintendent in improving teacher preparation, licensure and regulation. Creation of the council was originally recommended by a Special Committee on Teacher Preparation, Licensure and Regulation. Authority for the Council was provided in 1997 Wisconsin Act 298. Initial council members were appointed and confirmed in 1999.
The Professional Standards Council contributed to the language of PI 34 and is currently active in recommending and developing strategies for information dissemination regarding PI 34 implementation.
